Q: How much will my insurance raise if i go from a 2003 Jeep Wrangler to 1990 Porche 911?
By the way I’m a guy
Is it a smart choice?
SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY.
Thank you.

A: I have met similiar kind of problem before, here   www.Autoinsurancepro.info   is the resource that I feel helpful..

Q: How much would a porche 911 turbo cost?what if you bought it second hand?
Anyone? Would there even be anysecond hand 911 turbo? thanks to anyone who anwsers

A: You can most definitely pick them up used. Depending on the model, a new one will be very expensive.

A used 911 Turbo, depending on the year, model, engine type, etc will range you between $15,000 (for a very early year CIS ran 930, but they are HARD to work on and it’s more desirable to go with an early 80s model unless you are totally bent on one, but early year 930s go for $15,000-$20,000 for the first years) into the 20s and 30s (for later model 911 turbo models, the lambda system 930 is gonna set you back 25-35ish for a good one. People hated CIS, hence the early year 930 is cheaper than any of them) and if you want to get spendy and get something like a 993 you’re looking at significantly more money.

However, with this, you need to have someone with you who knows the cars very well in and out to know what to look for – OR – you need to have the car brought into a mechanic that knows them for a PI, don’t buy one without having a knowledgeable person to assist in finding one, or a PI. The worst thing you can do is buy a Porsche that needs work without knowing what you’re getting yourself into. They can be costly and an enormous headache. An engine rebuild on them can vary between $10,000 to $15,000.

Nothing wrong with buying one used. In fact, I prefer the 930, they’re one of my favorite models. You just REALLY have to scope it out well to make sure it’s a GOOD quality car before you dive in.

Again, the numbers quoted above are for the early generation 911 turbo. The 930. The 993 was far more desirable and the last air cooled 911 Turbo they made. Everything after that is water cooled, far more expensive, far more complex, and a totally different ballgame. My game is the aircooled engines myself, but that’s just personal preference.

Hope this helps. I’ll list some links below on buyer guides for you.

Q: Where can I trade a ford pinto for a porche 911?
porche 911 doesnt matter what year but t has to be in running condition

A: Gran Turismo or Forza. Or go smoke some weed or something….

Q: 172 mph on an A road in a Porche 911 turbo?
I just read online of a guy who was caught driving a Porche 911 Turbo at 172mph !!!

Whats your thoughts or views
How many of the people who answered have broken the speed limit themselves and by what margin. BE HONEST !

Fastest I ever did is 155mph on an R6 motorbike and then chickend out.

A: I reckon he’ll be a bit p*ssed. A 911 Turbo’s supposed to be able to do 197mph, so either he wasn’t really trying or his motor’s sh*gged!
On a more serious note, why the huge knee-jerk reaction to this? I’m willing to bet most of the ’sling him in jail’ brigade might do the odd 80-90mph themselves, & if a car crashes at high speed, you, & whoever you hit are killed to death instantly, whether it’s 80mph or 180mph. Is he being any more irresponsible than the thousands of idiots who drive using mobile phones, or punching info into a sat-nav, or shouting at the kids in the back? I’ll bet my last shiny pound the guy was CONCENTRATING at that speed!

Q: my porche 911 1990 stalls while driving, once the temp gets to normal, it runs fine?
1990 porsche carrera 4. just got the oil changed.

A: I have a similar car (1990 C4). Mine stals all the time, more in the cold weather, but even when warmed up (although not as often).
My car has a lightweight flywheel and this is the main reason. Do you know if you have a stock flywheel?
You can try getting your plugs changed and the distributor caps.

Q: What car should i buy gallardo or porche 911?

A: Open Road did a comparison between the Gallardo, the Porsche 911 Turbo, and the Aston Martin DB-9 (all 2008 models, I think). The Porsche was the least expensive of these as tested, and Gallardo the most expensive.

They ran all three on a track and on roads – highways and byways. Their conclusions: on the track Porsche easily kicked both of the other cars, “clawing it’s way around the corners the way Porsche does.”

They gave Aston Martin the nod for “boulevard smoothness and aplomb.”

They chose Gallardo as the best overall — closest to Porsche on the track and nearly as smooth as Aston Martin on the boulevard.

I guess it depends on what you want the car for.

One note: I own a 911 Turbo and can vouch personally for the “bullet proof” nature of the beast. My guess is you would find things breaking more often on both of the other cars.

Q: yeah i just got a new 08 porche 911 GT1 do u think its a good car?

Q: Which would you get, a 1999 porche 911 or a 2001 BMW m3?
I am looking into buying a car, which one do you think, they are both same price.

A: Buy the Lexus IS300. I know I know it wasn’t a choice…but consumers have rated this car best value for the money…and also one of the safest cars out there.

If that porche breaks down…you’re looking at forking over lots of mooolah! As for that BMW – same thing…repairs are pricey.

Q: Who would win in a race a lamborghini Diablo or a porche 911??

A: Diablo

Q: Does a Porche 911 have a backseat and will an adult actually fit back there?

A: 911’s does have backseats, but it’s way too tight for an adult to fit in, plus on the hard top versions the roof is kinda low on the back, not enough head room and leg room, if you want a porsche with lots of room at the back go get yourself a cayenne or wait for their upcoming panamera which is a sedan.

Q: which car is faster. The Ferrari F430 or the Porche 911 turbo?
Ferrari F430 vs. Porche 911 Turbo

A: I looked up the specs and it would appear that the Ferrari would do better on a drag but the porche may have it on a long stretch.

Q: UK: Are the Porche 911, Audi TT , I phone “one off” designs?
The question may not be phrased properly but my point is.
If you look at the -whole- Porche range every car looks more or less lke a porche 911
this says to me that the design of the Porche 911 was “so good” that they didn’t dare try to change the design of the other cars in the range .
Then if you look at he Audi TT is now a 10 yr old design which was quite “edgy” at the time it was launched – and still does look “modern” and doesn’t seem to have aged much. The modern TT looks like a bloated current shape Mondeo. In my opinion.
Not like the design of the Ford Focus that was quite a bold move by Ford at the time yet the Focus has In my opinion has aged .
And finally take the new – I phone 4 – some ppl are saying they prefer the “look” of the older modell and that the newer I phone 4 looks more “slab/block” like .
My point is are these -original- designs “too Good” and thus making any future designs difficult?
I think Apple will struggle to better the – I pads – design. How can they make it smaller ? its already thin and curvy – in all the right places – like the I phone.
The same goes for the Porche and the Audi

A: The 911 always looks the same because it can’t change. A beatle souped up, with its engine hanging out of its bottom, can’t be a different shape or people wouldn’t know what it was.

Audi TT had more to do with VAG owning Porkie than any thing else, and wanting to max profits by re-badging a budget porkie without using the Porsche brand.

The phone in the Audi is better than any Apple rip off of a Nokia. Watch the US courts hand out the damages. Over 90 counts pending judgement now. Apple is due for a Fall this autumn ;-)

Q: About how much a month is it to have insurance on a fairly new Porche 911 or Porche Carrera?

A: Try this link: http://www.buddyandoscars.com/auto_services.htm You can get free quotes from two different sources. One does sell policies, and the other is an independent agency that doesn’t.
